Job Information

 

Speaking Korean language on the level of native speaker or very advanced is a must!

 

Position Summary: 

- Responsible for delivering assigned Corporate Projects within the EMEA region, utilising internationally recognised project management best practices and methodologies.

- Reporting to the EMEA Enterprise PMO Director this role will be required to monitor, measure, and report on project progress to management and business stakeholders.

- There is a Global element to this role and the successful candidate can expect to represent EMEA’s interests and participate on Global projects when required.

- An element of travel throughout EMEA is expected. Where to, is dependent on the specific project.

 

 

Role & Responsibility

 

Project Management:

- Lead & deliver Projects. Directing the planning, analysis, design, development, and implementation of projects.

- Provide management and strategic direction to the project team and is responsible for the project budget, schedule, and delivery of milestones.

- Track project progress and report status to the EPMO Manager business stakeholder and their expectations throughout the complete project process.

- Working with the relevant EMEA resources transform business requirement documents and business cases in to Project Initiation Documents (PID) and project plans.

- Establish goals, negotiates project commitments and develops project plans.

- Review and approve the project scope definition in the PID.

- Coordinate the formulation and definition of technical scope and objectives in collaboration with technical subject matter experts

- Manage resolution of issues that may not have an established precedence.

- Represent the company with contractors, suppliers, customers, departments, and other parties as required to execute the project

- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget. Adjust project plan/activities/schedule as required

 

Leadership:

- Increase the internal project management delivery capabilities within the EMEA EPMO team.

- Mentor & coach junior department members

 

Operational:

- Create, monitor, and update the project plan daily. Including the active management of the change, issue and risk log.

- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, including recruitment/assignment of resources.

 

 

Job Requirement

 

- Korean language - written, spoken (native speaker or very advanced)

- Education & Qualification: Master's Degree (Technical, Economical, IT) / Allow Equivalent

- Experience: 10>15 years

- Travel Standard: < 10%

- 10+ years of relevant Project Management experience

- Background in manufacturing is an advantage and must understand the business processes and terminology in use in manufacturing sector

- A self-starter capable of using their initiative and getting results

- Business acumen and developing relationship at all levels in the business is a must

- Global Breadth: Multi-Country (> One Country)

- Ability to create a detailed project plan which includes: charter, scope, project management approach, management plans, statement of work, cost estimates, schedule, performance measurement baselines, milestones and target dates, risk management plan, quality management plan, project change control plan, open issues, action items, and supporting detail

- Ability to work with cross-functional & cross geographical teams and staff at all management levels

- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project

- Knowledge of project management best practices

- Strong oral and written communications

- Problem solving/analytical skills, tools and techniques

- Effective decision-making skills

- Structured and logical approach to work where paying attention to detail is 2nd nature.

- Able to break down complex problems, dispatch and coordinate actions and work under pressure, anticipate issues and develop plans to remediate incidents

- Must be comfortable taking the lead in unfamiliar areas outside the scope of current expertise

- A confident individual capable of accurately defining a problem/opportunity. Developing and choosing the correct alternative and successfully implementing the defined solution which at a minimum meet the expectations of the business & their documented requirements
